Default Alternator brushes

Crazy question but lost my source at Sewells for the alternator brushes. Ordered what I thought was them and just got the holder for $15. Emailed them and they said they could not get the brushes anymore. Bummer. Anyone know a source for them? I have googled and hit ebay but nothing for the gs350.

No sir, but am expecting it to in the 90-100k range from what I have been reading. I am very diligent in keeping a spare set up brushes for starter and alternator for each of my cars so they are there when problems begin. I still have original starter and alternator in my 1991 4runner with almost 300k. Have changed brushes on starter twice and alternator 3 times. the 02 GS300 has around 135k on it and have changed brushes in each once. All the other parts are very durable and seem to last forever.

To be honest, I think you'll have a hard time finding "replacement parts" for most components on a 3GS. This car lends itself to whole module replacement instead. It's not really like the 2Gens and similar older cars where you could service most items yourself. My best recommendation would be to visit a specialty Alternator/Starter shop and they should be able to cross-reference a set for you. The dealer will probably look at you like you have two heads if you ask for brushes.
