Im curious if this has helped anyone with rock chip issues? Where to get it done? Im in Chicago

 

They sell them on ebay, you could put it on yourself its not hard.

 

Yes this ha helped, I had it on my GS 300 and didnt put it on my 450h, in short I had to get my front bumper repainted. Get it worth every penny.

 

I have it since brand new (2009), never have rock chip (knock on the wood) and im driving really aggressive....
worth every penny IMHO.....

 

What did it cost you?

 

I did the whole hood, whole quarter panel, bumper, head light, fog light and side mirror
My friend help me did it, the cost is pretty much just material and I paid his time to help me out. I will PM you the cost. Just don't wanna give a wrong info to other people.

 

Did you buy a roll of it, or was it all precut? A couple of good friends own sign shops I may ask them how much.

 

If done by a dealership, it cost me $700 for the install of the product.

Yea it wasnt for the whole hood was for half of the hood.

 

Worth every penny. I'm in Chicago and had my dealer install it. It cost $700. I have the front bumper, about 1/3 of the hood, part of the finders, the A pillars and the leading edge of the roof covered. If you do any kind of highway driving, it gives you peace of mind that you're not going to get nailed. Stupidly, I waited a few weeks to get it before I had it instlled and it cost me 3-4 nice chips.

 

Damn all of that, thats a great price I wish they offered that here. I would love to cover the top of my roof the front part.

 

$500 is more then fair for the front bumper, hood, fenders, and mirrors. If you use the dealer they are just marking the cost up. But yes its worth it in Chicago if your on the expressway.
