2008 GS 350 vs 2011
Guys,
I currently own a 2008 GS 350 rear wheel drive no Nav with 50K miles.
Considering trading in for a 2010 or 2011 AWD with Nav with 10-20K miles.
I prefer AWD for the winter months. Also like the back up camera, Nav & satelitte features.
What are the major dfferences I will notice between these model yr cars?

^ all models are XM "ready" so yours technically does have it you just have to get tuner and install.
Back up camera is part of the Navi, not sure you could get it with out but never checked?
Navi-Traffic I didnt think was ever an option on the 3gs? Never saw one locally that had this feature.
Why not make the move to the 4gs since you already had the 3gs??

I swore that I've been in even an 06 GS300 that had a backup camera.. I thought that they all did, it's the Navi part that's the option?
NavTraffic came out for certain in 09, my 07 has XM because I put it in the car (The day I bought it).

^ it must have been a regional thing, I didnt see any locally that had back up camera with out navi. But that doesn't mean they didn't exist. Honestly never really looked for the GS at auctions or anywhere for that matter. Was never a solid seller IMO. Heck one of the owners ISF, that he decided to title at one of there non Lexus dealers, sat for a good year before it sold. Funny I put my GS on the lot and it sold in a matter of 3 weeks and he laughed when I told him I was parking my car and done with it. Guess who was laughing at the end of the day

Thats what I thought you could always add it as an aftermarket acc or even get the OEM parts from a salvage yard and wire it up to work with a switch. That is if this was something someone wanted to add but wasnt interested in the navi option. The aftermarket ones I have seen locally look pretty bad but they do the job.

Why not 2013 model?? You got $20K you want to give me for free??
Based on my readings on this website it's not worth the time, cost, energy & frustration to attempt to get some expert to install a Nav unit on a non Nav car.......very very involved.
