Default Need Suggestions on updating my Navi

Hey CL Members i have a 2011 GS 350 and since my car is from the year 2011 i should have the 2011 update version but i was wondering does it make sense to update my navi to Version 12.1 or just to stick with the current version. My main question is whats the major difference in between version 11 and 12

Thanks in advance

How often do you use it? Have there been a few new roads built around you that you would use? Maybe POIs?

If you use the nav often... go for it. If not... don't worry about it.

Honestly, iPhone GPS apps (Waze, MotionX Drive for example) are better/faster anyways and play video (and audio) through Vaistech connections. Just sayin...

Save your money unless you can play with one already fitted.
I bought a genuine one from a German eBay seller for Europe West - latest version and all that for the Gen 4.
Waste of £50 if I'm honest.
So if the US ones are as poorly updated, I'd advise to pocket the cash or spend it on something worthwhile instead.

Thank you for the Responses and i dont use the GPS on a daily basis i might be needing it to get from VA to CT but other than that i dont think i will be using it on a regular basis so that makes sense to just stick with the 2011 update and maybe go in for a little later update probably like the 2013 or maybe 14.

Thanks again!!!

Yeah, the world may be changing every day, but not at such a pace as needing a new navi disc each 12 months.
That's a profit generating service the dealer and Lexus promote though, for the hard of thinking or those with more money than sense!
