After turning the car off for 10mins and turning the car back on, everything seems perfect. Shifts are smooth and it doesn't stall.

This problem is driving me insane!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Have the transmission screen removed and cleaned along with the fluid exchange. Do this ASAP!!!

This is the car im seriously considering getting now...73,000 miles...fully loaded.Let me ask you has the car been very problematic for you and if so around what mileage did it start?Did your GS experience the carbon buildup that has been reported to plague this version GS?

@ MicahJr
I did manage to get this fixed, I got 2 solenoids for the transmission Solenoid "A" / "1"
and the lock-up / torque converter solenoid. As I had the codes p2757 and another one which indicated solenoid "1" / "A"

let me know what codes you're getting, are you getting any other code apart from the p2757? A transmission shop gave me a quote of £2400 (inc VAT) to replace the torque convertor and rebuild the transmission, but this MAY not be necessary. I know there are a lot of threads on here which say a rebuild is required, but in my case it wasn't. My parts and labour costs came up to about <£700 so do your research before you rebuild your transmission.

P2757 only for now and it cleared by itself 3days ago. At times it doesn't downshift when decelerating causing a shudder when accelerating. A trans flush has helped significantly so another will be done soon to see if it improves. Solenoids were checked and they are fine. Really looking for any other things that need to be checked before a TC or trans change is considered!

Does it shudder when accelerating from a standstill? (right after motorway driving)? On gears 1-2?

The shudder occurs during the drive not from stand still. It appears that the gears don't shift down when the speed drops, accelerating at this stage cause ths shudder due to it being in a higher gear.

that sounds exactly like the issue I had but with a different set of gears, I would get another garage to check your "lock up" solenoid.

I'm experiencing the same problem but I have no check engine light on. Did you take yours to lexus to get checked?

I've been driving mine for a week now after the repairs and it has been a roller coaster ride.
Took it to Lexus who quoted me 4k for replacing the transmission that came with a 3month warranty. Walked out of there and called Corporate who didn't offer any better advice. It seems all the dealers use local transmission shops and set their terms accordingly.

My mechanic determined it was the torque converter, as it shuddered quite badly by now and it was pulled out and reconditioned. Drove well for a day and began showing symptoms again. At this stage the lock up solenoid was replaced and it has driven well for a week.

A note to say the solenoid appeared fine with the normal resistance checks but seemed a mechanical issue in it. On valve bodies if you have any issues, look up IPT who can have them fixed.

Hope it all goes well for you MicahJr
Just a word of note to anyone looking to go down the lock-up solenoid route, the solonoid can only be brought from toyota / lexus dealer, I used an american lexus dealer site to locate the solenoid part number. I recommend phoning up a toyota dealer to order your parts rather than a lexus dealer as they will be a few £s cheaper.
Mine has been working for 8 months now.

No, I didn't get it to lexus for them to check, they also gave me a ridiculus quote (£5k)
The Lights do not always come on, as it is electrical, on my car, they were intermittent. At the beginning there were no lights, then later on, the lights would come up every now and then but would turn off after a while. After that, they would remain mostly on.

Hope this helps
