Default 2009 GS350 control panel side buttons

Hi,
I am trying to fix 2009 GS 350 that is having some issues with the dash control board side buttons.
I have read a few posts about the touch screen having problems and not working. The touch screen in this case seems to be fine, but the dash buttons on either side seem to be out of sequence, if you hit the climate control, the radio pops up on the screen, if you touch the navagation the climate control pops up on the screen. I was wondering if there is any way to reset the buttons to the correct button assignment ? ? and if so how it could be done.
Thanks for any help

Did this just happen one day of its own accord, or has it always been like that since you bought the car?
If everything was fine until now, then I'd say its so peculiar, you'd be best to speak with the dealership first, to see if it's something they've come across before.

If you were on the nav screen and switch to climate, then hit the climate again, it goes to nav. Same with other functions. Is this what's happening?

this is normal, for example you were last in nav screen and now you're on climate. Now you're in the climate screen and hit climate button again it will jump to nav screen. It just bring you back to the previous screen you were in.
