i was looking at the DIY clean map sensor and intake. and i said the oil residue is a common factor to having a dirty clogged intake and i wondered if anyone tried this... i think it might help in the longrun.

ADD Universal oil catch tank Made out of T6061Aircraft Lightweight
9mm & 15mm Fitting / Blue Breather Filter
Oil Catch can catches the oil and moisture in the blow-by gas that causes carbon and sludge build-up in the intake system and the engine.
All oil vapor expelled by your turbo charged motor before it can harm your cars performance
keeps the engine clean even under hard driving conditions
The catch can will keep out the Dirt And Oil Get Inside Your Engine from your intake system

the catch cans are more for turbo'ed cars. never heard of one being ran on a naturally aspirated car.

Agree with everyone else. I've done catch cans on my turbo'd cars and they've worked quite well. I've never done one on a n/a engine - especially a stock 4.3L at that.

i asked because i know on every car that i ever put an intake on.. the breather hose that lets the engine breathe always coughs up oil residue and over time the breather filter gets saturated... i thinking the same thing is going on in our engine as well... i know it might be a small amount but it can effect it over time im guessing
