Paint/buff touch-up on '06 GS300
I have a black GS300 with about 75k miles, and while cosmetically it is pretty good shape, I'd like to take the time to give it a face lift and get it back looking factory fresh. I have one gash in the rear bumper that someone put on me, and another scratch on the edge of the front bumper. The rest of the car has some standard wear-and-tear (shallow scratches here and there), and I'm trying to figure out the right path without spending a fortune. I hope to keep the car another 3-4 years.
I have used a local auto body and paint shop in the past (on my wife's car) and they have done a great job for me (all 5*s on yelp, etc.). They recommended doing a re-paint on both bumpers, and then buffing and re-applying clear coat on the rest of the car. The quoted me $1100 for the work (in LA). Does this seem like the right thing to do? I don't really want to spend much more than that since it's an older car, but I'd like to get it looking as nice as possible again.
Thanks in advance for the insights
