Highest mileage 3G you would buy?
been trying to find a nice low mileage 06+ GS for a while now, buy daayuum are used car prices off the chain or what? low mileage 3GS are selling in the upper 20's and above $30K. i was hoping after nearly 6 years, this model would be upper teens to low 20's by now. anyway, whats the highest mileage car you guys would buy if it were your money? i am having a hard time justifying spending $25k+ for a GS with 70k+ miles, when there are 09 Acura TSX, 09+ Nissan Maxima, and some really nice 09+ InfinitI G and M models with only 20-30K miles that are selling for less, or near in price what a high mileage GS is selling for. i know those models and some others may not be in the same class size or category, but they are very nice cars well equipped nonetheless.

I was in your shoes a couple weeks ago looking for a GS, my cut off mark was 40K miles with a budget under $30k. I ended up getting a 2008 GS350 AWD with 35K miles for $27K + $3k Lexus Certification (3 yrs 100K miles)

If it were me, mileage wouldn't matter if the vehicle was certified. Uncertified, it would need to be less then 10K per year, provided I knew all I could know about the vehicle. There are some gems out there to be had. You just have to be patient and lucky! Good luck!

I'm in your shoes except I want an 08+ (Come Jan: 09+). If your current car starts roll with it until you find a deal that you can't walk away from. I've almost bought 1 of 2 08 GS's in the last 3 months for 27,900 but sacrificing on color/option combo. I can afford much more car than 30k but who wants to spend all of there blow money on a car payment. Pick a price that your happy with and stick to it. It's no fun having a nice car and can't afford the $800 bill for tires or maintenance. I think (my opinion) the used price of the IS250 etc are to high (08 low millage for 25k in S. FL) which is keeping the gs prices high.
Disclaimer: Before I get flamed about the comment about the price of an IS250 affecting the gs350. All I'm inferring is that no one or any dealership will sell a GS350 at the same price point or lower than what you can sell an IS250 for.

thanx for the input. i've been hoping to find one close in price, and maybe get lucky and negotiate down. but the GS resale is real strong, ( a good thing on the back end, but sux when you're tryin to get one!) i, too, don't wanna go over 30-45K miles, but i dont wanna $5-600 a month note either. i was hoping to find one about $25K and put $10K down to keep the note in line with my monthly budget.

i have have 94k on my 06 gs430 and doesnt bother me at all knowing the history of this motor. now if i had a v6 i may be concerned as these cars have yet to prove themselves with high mileage and it shows because a v6 with over 100k can be had for 15k-20k all day long problem is that will likely be a great price as more go over 100k and its more the norm
