...after auto tune shop? I don't follow.
I do feel better over all with the 350. However the "wobble" issues after lowering the car do concern me and I don't like the stock height.

Alright so here is an update.....
Last week i picked this beauty up and found some issues that should of been fixed before i picked it up. I dropped it off on monday and picked it up yesterday morning. Not only did they fix everything, they slapped on new pads front and back as well as a set of new tires. Only issue i had with the dealer was that the car was not checked before delivery.
I can provide a list of issues with the car if you guys really want to know.

1. lug nut missing on passenger rear wheel
2. A/C vent broken
3. Condensation in headlights and daytime running lights
4. loose Antenna Fin
5. Static Radio signal
6. loose Backseat
7. Subwoofer enclosure rattles
8. no "CPO" sticker on the door
9. rear driver tire different from all other 3
10. Dead Battery
11. Shaking at 60 MPH
I got the car back with everything fixed and a new set of tires and brakes, not sure if that is because they certified it or because i complained about the tire being different.

LOL, what a random list of bits and pieces. Seems like nothing serious though. I've noticed the condensation on a GS350 I looked at last week. Is the sub under the seat? Should I hear that ratle It would be nice to identify it.
Thanks for the post.
FYI- went to look at another 350 today and the dealer had a M6 with 49K on the clock and told me he would let me have it for 39K. So hard to say no!
Thanks for the post.

a new M6 - HOT
a used M6 - $$$$$$$$$$$ maintenance
If the M6 interests you, i would most deff take it to an independent shop and have them check it out to make sure no maintenance needs to be done to it.
My 30K maintenance on the 328i was close to $2K but thanks to BMW 4 yr 50K free maintenance , it was all covered

I'm curious as to what he meant as well.
FWIW Here's what i took from his comment. I think he feels that, over all, going from BMW to Toyota will be unsatisfying in terms of build quality and performance. i assume this as I've heard many leave the beamer forums for 370Zs and GS's etc and I've heard similar statements.
BMW engines are engineered very well and they're great performers. I love the throttle response. the chassis is also one of the best i have ever owned. But the newer Toyota's are not the boring cars I remember from the 90's. I like the style and feel of the gen III GS's. Even the newer Camry SE has a nice feel to it. And considering my over all disappointment with BMWs GM tranny, fickle climate control, bad window regulators and bargain bin wiring. I'm really looking forward to getting into a relatively worry free car as all our past Toyota's have been. We shall see.

Interesting tread I have an E92 and a 2nd Gen GS400 and they do go about their business totally different but not as extreme and people assume. Theres more of a difference in one of them being 2 doors vs 4 doors. Congrats on your trade. I don't see how you can regret making the change and if you do you can always get a Bimmer as a second car.

sorry gentlemen.
sorry i couldn't reply am still on a long business/vacation trip.
L8Apex: yup the lack of engineering experience resulted in a bad build quality and many many more things as in " machine design" and "dynamics of machines" ..
the whole engineering,, the blueprints of the suspension and power axle are very poor..
Germans have been doing cars since ever,,, lexus only 20 yrs or so...
for me,, the final product is the "drive" and that is the only thing that matters ...
as of reliability.. i replaced every single part in my gs430 06 in 6 yrs 270k km...
for snow guys, never drove in snow before but will test an x5 in Marrakesh today..
will be back soon..
