Default Found 18" RX350 pebble beach wheels for my GS

As the title says, I ordered a set to upgrade my oem 17" wheels. I'll post some picks when I get them mounted in a week or two.
This should be interesting.

Default Took a while

One month later (long story)... here they are.

Note: I know it will look better lowered, but I am going to keep the standard AWD height for drivability and efficiency.

Before with 17" OEM

After with 18" Pebble Beach RX350

Also forgot to mention I got Suntek Carbon 35% all around and 70% on the windshield... supposed to keep out a high % of solar heat.

Nice look. What size tires are you running now?

The difference between brakes is only a couple MMs. How could you possibly tell just by looking at the pic?

If these are like the other 18" rx350 wheels, 18x7.5 +35, they would actually sit 4mm further out than stock 18" gs350 wheels

I got very lucky. The seller had kept them for her new car, but when they did not fit, she just wanted them out of her garage. She even included a spare wheel with a mounted, unused tire.

I thought the 3rd Gen GS windows were all treated for IR already? Was that later models?

We get busted in CA for even having our driver/passenger windows tinted, let alone the front....

I like the cruiser in the back. Always wanted one of those but the good old 85 runners have my heart. How's driving at night with the windshield tinted?

Thanks to all for the comments.

No issue at all driving at night. 70% is the lightest they make, and you wouldn't really notice it (from the inside or outside) unless you are looking for it. We shall see what happens at state inspection time (no tint allowed on the windshield in NC, but a lot do it).

I LOVE vintage 4x4s... before the FJ, I had a 70 and 73 bronco. My first love was an '87 4runner (yeah, yeah I know... no straight front axle), I took off the top in March and put it back on in November.
One day when the kids are grown, I may need to spend way too much money to restore another first-gen 4runner.

I just sold my 09 Rubicon Unlimited and got the GS, since I knew the LS is going to be sold to my in-laws soon... (had to keep a Lex sedan in the family).
