Default VCS and Engine Light's on WTF?

Hey guys...so I'm confused! All I did was remove the air box completely from the car so I could have more space to put my new HID lights in and now both my VCS and Engine light is on.

I didn't unplug anything nor did I mess with the sensor to the air box. I already did a battery reset with NO change to the lights.

Any suggestions? Sometimes this car is way too sensitive and that's frustrating.

2006 GS430

Thanks guys!

Are you sure there are no leaks upstream of the MAF? Could be a loose clamp causing air to enter after the MAF, which could trigger the lights. Easiest thing to do is to get a scanner hooked up to see what codes are being triggered.

could be MAF or could be completely unrelated. W/o the actual code #(s) being tripped, we're all just guessing...

Go to any national auto parts store (O'Reilly's, Advanced, AutoZone, etc.) and get your code(s) read for free. Post back and we'll be better able to tell you where to look.

Good luck
