Hi, does anyone have any last minute tips on some common problems with the 2008 GS 350 to look out for when buying used or any common problems with the 3GS in general?

 

Make sure you check if there is condensation in the Headlight. I had it on driver side. I have to take it back to the dealer a few times to fix it before they decide to replace it (Plus mine is certified and in warranty).

 

Also, I asked my dealership to give me the all season floor mats for free when I purchased my car. They don't want to in the beginning, but they give in at the end. It save me a whole a lot of time cleaning esp winter time.
Off topic, later on I find out Lexus discontinued the floor mats because the whole Toyota break paddle things with floor mats. The dealership let me buy my own floor mats and refund the money back to me. I bought the top of the line floor liner from weathertech. It fit perfectly. Good luck.

 

Rattles. Not much you can do about them but at least try to buy one that doesn't have a lot of door rattles and windshield rattles. Brakes squeaking is another common problem. Rear view mirror being distorted...mine is not too bad but others have had very badly distorted rear view mirrors. Generally the car has been fine but the rattles drive me crazy.

 

Make sure all TSBs have been performed.
