Default Leaking Strut and some other questions

Dealer just told me my right front strut is leaking and needs replacing. I have Lexus extended warranty until 125k. Any chance this would be covered? Also. my airbag light is on because me passenger side seat belt has some kind of problem. I am assuming that will definitely be covered.

One more question, I was told by dealer, local toyota, that front rotors have a lip and cant be surfaced. Any truth to that or are they just trying to get me to buy new rotors as well.

Thanks for any help

shocks are tear and wear item, highly doubt that's covered. you don't expect a shock to work like new at 120k miles right?

bs on rotors. plenty of people re-surfaced their rotors

you sure the extended warranty is for 125k? i never seen anything high than 100k. what is the extension?

shocks will probably be considered wear and tear and not covered.

airbag light should if there is something electrical wrong with the car

if the rotor is pasted a certain point, the dealer cant remove the lip and resurface because the overall thickness of the rotor might not be enough to meet their criteria. imo its always best to just buy new rotors than have old ones resurfaced.

Yes warranty is 7yr/125k miles. They are going to cover the strut!!!! And the seatbelt/airbag problem too!! Best 1500 bucks I have ever spent. So far the warranty has covered one side mirror motor not going back to the right place. two rear calipers that seized, and now these two items. Plus rental cars twice.

Have to figure out the brake issue. I just replaced the rotors at my last brake job, 40-50k miles ago. Should the rotors wear down to the point they cant be surfaced that fast.

Does 14,800 miles seem a little premature for a "wear and tear " items to leak ?

Shocks and struts are warrantied until warranty runs out.
