mine is washed every week and garage kept and i cant keep my lights looking like that....

It looks great. I've done valve covers on Honda engines with high temp paint and it held up great for years. I'm not sure how white will work though. I've done red, blue and yellow.
Off subject, but what lip is that on the front of your car?

I think it's a outstanding idea! Take pride in the fact that you might have started a trend. I'd love to see if anyone gets a little funky with the engine bay paint though!
