Default 4080 enclosure...upgraded

Not sure if this effects anyone else buy mine flies all over my trunk, its gotten annoying.

I decided to see if I could do anything to fix this.

Low and behold it's about the simplest fix that can possibly be done.

step one, locate and remove the carpet retainer clip located about 1 inch foward of the metal handle of the enclosure, and remove it.

next move the handle on the enclosure up that same 1 inch

next install a rivnut (rivnut gun available for $10-$15 bux at harbor freight)

drill hole in handle, and test fit bolt I used 10-24

I added a screw cap for that finished look

now my box doesn't fly all over the trunk anymore

now if only the subwoofer screen would stay in place, I guess I'll fix that another day.

if I drive like a grandma then it stays put, actually it stayed put for quite a while, and finally it just started coming loose ALL THE TIME. The box is excellent quality no telling what has changed, something probably has just loosened up over time allowing it just enough room to wiggle loose.

But yes, seems this being such a ridiculously easy fix that they might have caught it during development, no worries, now if other people want this they can copy me for under $20 bux even if they have to purchase the rivnut tool.
