When I first purchased my car, after I turn off the ignition and lock the car, my headlights would stay on for ~5 minutes. Now, when I turn off the ignition and as soon as I open the door, the headlights shut off. How can I revert back to keep the lights on for a bit?

 

That should be controlled under the personal settings. Lexus dealer can reprogram for you. Auto off is one of the features. However, when it is set to headlights on after shutting off the engine and opening and closing the door it should not be staying on anywhere near 5 minutes. The time the lights stay on after you walk away from the car is approximately 30 seconds. At 5 minute intervals you would be putting quite a drain on your battery.

 

Sorry. I guess I was exaggerating. The thing is, I had this feature before my battery died so why did I lose it?

 

Probably cause it reset itself, or you didnt keep it on a battery terminal when switiching the batteries.
