New GS owner.....
Hello everybody!
I recently purchased a 2007 GS 350, non-ML, charcoal with ash interior, and wow I love this car! Especially the interior, it's by far the classiest ride ive ever owned. Biggest complaint would be that damn tickin noise from the engine, which I found out is normal. Another problem i've encountered is that i'm overly obsessed with any imperfections and any slightest scratch that nobody else would ever notice totally bothers me like crazy!!! haha
Been checkin out the forum for about a month now, and it seems like there's not enough time in a day to read up on our cars lol. I'm pretty much gonna keep the exterior stock, it's already beautiful enough as it is. =). So far all i've done is tinted the windows, (35 front, 20 rear). And swapped out the trunk light. When i first saw that sorry excuse for a light, i was like wtf, lol??
I'm now lookin to upgrade the sound system. Lookin at vaistech ML plus (seems to be best/top of the line option?) for ipod, but holding out a little longer just to make sure all the bugs are worked out. Also lookin into gettin sub and amp, but concerned with how it will sound with stock deck?? I've been in other cars with stock decks and aftermarket subs and man it sounded horrible. Bass totally drowned out everything else. Maybe it was the quality of the subs they had, but that is my fear that I spend hella $$ and it doesn't sound the way I want it to. Im gonna go the JL route, either a 12' or a 10' w7 or w6 with JL amp too, either 1000/1 or 500/1 depending on the sub.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
