My CPO 07 350 AWD has (within the last year) been in for brakes/rotors, dash, valve springs, brakes again and now this. Pretty embarassing!

Simplest thing to do is don't resell them. With all of this stuff being done to them, you know that by now they are the most reliable things ever built. They are getting more maintenance than a commercial jet. :P

not sure if i agree that as an excuse. previous lexus were all mass production, i don't think they had that many problems with gs400, ls430, sc430, is300

I was nice and brought my car in with half a tank last time. This time, it is going in empty.

^ I imagine a bunch of Lexus 300/350 circling the dealer to empty and pull in. LOL

V8 is awesome.

The older Lexus cars from the 1990's didn't have all these issues. Or did they?
I didn't get my 95 SC until 2000. But I don't recall hearing about recalls or big issues.

At least Lexus discovers their issues and voluntarily fixes them as opposed to other marques that give you a hard time abouit it.

Another plus.

Lexus used to get criticized for it's appliance-like operation to the point of being called soul-less. The German car lovers can't say that anymore.

It's a slight inconvenience, but at least they're being proactive about it. Plus, you get a decent loaner and a full tank of gas. I'd rather be informed of any potential problems on my cars than having a coverup.
