$500 Gift Card
#20
Henry, did you get your gift card or just the letter? I think you and I did the ALE recall around the same time, so I'm wondering if I should call. I also haven't received the gift card yet, just the new car coupon and the promise of the gift card.

Lexus Test Driver
Are you sure about Carson Toyota takes the gift card? Have anyone tried it? The statement comes with the card says "use at any accepting Lexus dealership".
I just got the $500 card yesterday. It took Lexus about one month to process and send to me.

I don't have an extended warranty either, but my letter said I would receive a gift card in a few weeks. I assume that their algorithm figured out that an extended warranty would be pretty useless to me.

I've actually called Lexus NA a couple of times to get clarification on how to redeem the card. Both times, they've specifically said it can "only" be used at a Lexus dealership due to allocated funds. For financial and audit purposes, this makes sense for Toyota. With that in mind, I didn't bother trying to use it on L-tuned items in case the transaction gets denied. I ordered the Sway Bar Kit along with a box of oil filters for my Camry (via ES350 parts) at my local dealership. They were running a special ($385) on the sway bars which was lower than what I was getting from Sewell. Can't wait to put 'em on, though I probably won't drive it out until spring or summer.

Just keep calling them so they can move on it. If you don't, they'll take their sweet time to do it. I waited 5 weeks for mine to show up and I called on a weekly basis to get the status on it.

Emailing them will take much longer, or not get any attention at all. I highly recommend calling them and get a confirmation # for your claim.
