As nice as the GS is.....keep your 997- you will be sorry down the road if you trade it! 2 completely different cars....built for different purposes. I think you will dearly miss the handling of your porsche-

I'm kind of over the 997, plus I don't drive fast at all so I won't miss the speed. I'm looking forward to more luxury again.

Plus I can screw with a Porsche but not nearly as much as I can screw up a car that costs half as much without any guilt...
