How to remove speed limit?

It's not like you need to go over 112 mph, but it's nice to be able to go over 130 mph once in a while when you're on an open stretch of asphalt with no cars around.......

I don't know. The maximum I have been able to reach is 140mph limited by length of track rather than car. So I haven't been able to test whether the 150mph is a real limit or not. However the C&D test of the GS460 did say they were electronically limited at 150.

Given that the Euro-versions of the 6-speed gs300 go 149 mph, the 8-speed gs460 being limited to 155 mph, and given its power and gearing advantage over the gs300, my guess is that the gs460 should go - unlimited - around 160-165 mph (real speed, not the speedo reading which must be 5-10 mph more).

I just received my ECU harness, awaiting the Apexi Neo to arrive anytime soon. I am going to get my lost HP back by leaning out my car back to 12 or 13.

Lexus could not possibly compete in this class if it did not hit the 149 mph and the 155 mph figures it claims alike its competition. 155 mph is jointly agreed and rather common governer limited speed for this type of cars in Europe. Let's not forget that there are no speed limits on many parts of the German Autobahns. 350 surely goes 155 mph unlimited. The drag co-efficient of 3GS is a low 0,27. The only possible limiting factor could be too short gearing, not the drag.

I wish I didn't have a governor on my GS450h. Here in AZ there are some really straight, flat, desolate roads that really afford the opportunity to speed. On my way home from work I hit 135 mph before the governor kicked on. It was pulling hard and very effortlessly the whole way with no signs of slowing down at all. Not to mention how stable the car felt too. If the governor was taken off the h I'm sure the car would max the 160 mph speedometer out with no problems.

...secrets revealed I guess.
Can you remember the revs at this speed? How about did you also check the speed from a GPS navigator, which should give a much more accurate reading.
Pulling well still at 265kmh (real speed probably at around 255 kph). It looks that the 460 should go over 265 kph (real speed).
It is said that while in Europe the manufacturers claim top speed 155 mph, in reality they let the car go a bit faster -- just because of this agreement on the common governor limit at 155 mph and avoiding marketing with the top speed.
btw..... all of those who experiment life beyond 130 mph....please make sure your tires have an appropriate speed classification for the job.

wtf, how did those arabs remove the speed limit?
our 350's are limited to 140.
we shouldn't have speed limiters. I wouldn't go that fast in this car anyway.
