With oversized tires, you have to expect some rubbing when being lowered. Your set up/tires are equivalent to 20s on 245/30 & 285/30. I already knew 21s wouldn't work well with what I wanted being that I wanted aggressive fitments.

This is what I don't understand. Every 3GS we've seen with 21 or 22 eventually needed many adjustments to work but eventually they took it off. We have the information it's not the best way to go but people still do it. The only chance is to not lower the car. but I know of a guy that didn't lower his and still had problems. Just trying to drive around with rubber band tires can be a challenge.

The car pictured above with D2 wheels does look hot. But now it's in the shop. Geez!

The bottom line is I have a truck, my lexus is pretty much my toy I drive it to the gym, on the weekends, and occassionally to the beach. If i had to drive it to work everyday I wouldn t have gone with such an extreme set up. That being said going 21s and 22s involve al the same principles that VIP cars go through to get their set ups shaved/ rolled fenders suspension mods its all relative to customizing your ride. The difference is especially with the 3GS is aggressive 20 and 19 inch setup information is easier to find because more people have done it and shared their specs. Going with the larger setup has been alot of trial and error but I think my car is 1. is different than 98% of the cars on here and 2.looks great imho! 3. turns heads everywhere i go and sparks conversation amongs car enthusiast all the time. this being said when I get tired of it I ll just move on to the next one!

I can agree with the right offsets and drop, oversized wheels can look hot. But is the trouble worth it?
Guess I'm old fashioned. Some things just shouldn't be done to a car like Lexus. To each his own.

Hell yeah its worth it when everytime you look at your car you tell yourself "Yep, that ***** is bad!" or when some hot *** chick comes up to you and is like, " Is that your sexy Lexus out there?" You just give a nod yes with your stunna shades on! Yep its worth it!

Maaaan, sorry OP...were blowing your thread up. Let's get those pics comin'.

P.S. I rub on dips (only on the liner)...thats it. It was in the shop for 2 weeks because I wanted them to take their time with it. That's all. It all worked out. I am happy now. So, yes...it was worth it.

I agree, I get that with my 20's.
The only people who don't appreciate my ride are ghetto dudes and that's fine with me. They love deuce-deuces and that's fine with me....we travel in different circles.
