Question Lock doors while car is running?

Hey all... I looked all over in the forums for this answer and had no luck. I want to know if it is possible to lock the doors on the car from the outside while leaving the car running.

For example, there are alot of times that I just need to run in a store to pick something up real quick or drop my daughter off at my parent's. I would like to leave my car running and be able to lock the doors so no one can get in it. I have tried pushing the black door handle buttons and tried using the keyfob lock button as well with no success. When I push the door handle button, it causes my car to give a steady high pitch tone and wont turn off till i get back in the car and hit the brake. When I try to use the keyfob, it just doesn't respond.

Any help is appreciated.

Yea there is a way, stick the key in the key hole on the outside n turn it left it will lock all the doors. To unlock
You will need to stick it in again n turn it right.

Texas summer is brutal, so I usually keep the vehicle running if I am only going to be at a certain place for less than 30 minutes.

30 minutes of idleing? That seems excessive... even in the Texas summers (which I am very familiar with).

You're right behind BP as far as being "green" if you really let it idle for 30 mins just to keep it cool. Instead, you should use the fob to roll down all of the windows to let the hot air out
