Henry is right, in CA sales tax on leases is based on the monthly pmt. I'm in the middle of a 3GS lease, and my sales tax rate has changed 3x in the past 2 yrs. At first the sales tax was 8.75, then 9.25 and now 9.75% - really screws up my automatic lease pmts . . .

I just leased my 2010 GS350 RWD over the weekend and the Money Factor was .00085 with 53% residual.

of course! the more miles you do a year, the less the residual is.
