yea suprisingly it could have been a lot worse. thankfully it was only me in the car and thankfully he only hit the side of the car. i couldnt imagine the damage if he clipped the front corner.
anyway the car was dropped off a couple days ago. so far the estimate to fix and paint is at 7k
thank god for insurance.

I hope it will look good as factory, which i doubt because 4 year old paint compared to brand new is gonna be different.

yea, they had to cut it to show the insurance company that it needed more than just a door skin as they quoted.
figured it was a neat picture if anyone was ever curious what it looks like behind the door lol.

So they're going to repair the outer panel? Why wouldn't they just replace it? Looks like the cost is about $300 new. Am I missing something?

yes, read my post above lol. they are replacing both doors.
