yea suprisingly it could have been a lot worse. thankfully it was only me in the car and thankfully he only hit the side of the car. i couldnt imagine the damage if he clipped the front corner.

anyway the car was dropped off a couple days ago. so far the estimate to fix and paint is at 7k thank god for insurance.

Yeah I'm glad it happened just along the side and not head on.

7K? That sounds like alot for the damage, but your color seems tricky to match. Glad to hear you made it out without getting hurt too bad.

I hope it will look good as factory, which i doubt because 4 year old paint compared to brand new is gonna be different.

I've done that mod a few times in the past and it never comes out as nice as I hoped for.

yea, they had to cut it to show the insurance company that it needed more than just a door skin as they quoted.

figured it was a neat picture if anyone was ever curious what it looks like behind the door lol.

So they're going to repair the outer panel? Why wouldn't they just replace it? Looks like the cost is about $300 new. Am I missing something?
