You ripped it, well done indeed

So my GS300 AWD with ML, Navigation, Rear Shade, Heated/Cooled Seats, Adaptive headlights, new tires, perfect condition and 72K miles should fetch around $20K?

$20k on a retail sale... more like $17k as a trade-in.

People or dealers can "ask" for whatever they want. The question is, can they sell for that much? There are people that are asking for 30k on the 06 gs300 here. But I still see the ad there for months. Soon or later people will realize that their cars will depreciate by just sitting there and they'll have to lower the price.

Smile 2006 GS300 RWD Black

I bought a used 06 GS300 black with 74,000 miles from Lexus dealer in Tulsa, OK for $18,700 back in June 2010. It is one owner trade-in with all service records. It comes with chrome wheels, a new set of Michellin tires, new brakes. All fluids were checked and all dents, scratchs were fixed. The GS300 looks really good in person with clean interior and shine exterior.

After one month, I found out that the cabin filter door was broken when I tried to change my filter. The AC has bad expansion valve so it stopped blowing cold air one day per Toyota dealer and they wanted $700 to fix the expansion valve since they have to take the dash apart.

About the cabin filter door, I took apart the dash and try to superglue the door arm. It worked for a few days and broke again. I look at parts online and Lexus wants $500 for a new blower system assembly.

I'm still undeciding about fixing the expansion valve since the AC is working now but not ice cold plus spending $500 for a new blower system assembly is tough. Besides that, the Lexus is great

Wow, did this ever turn out to be the most incorrect statement in the history of Club Lexus.

Yeah, I'll prolly get banned for it. But then at least I won't be able to come here and obsess over the fact that Lexus Corporate refuses to fix my 2006 GS 300 piston rings. And I just come here and read post after post of happy GS 300 drivers who got their $6000 worth of free engine work. It is so unbelievably frustrating. If only my GS started burning oil and having a misfire sooner.
