what do you mean 19 tires are good? as long as you get quality tires, 19s or 20s are the same

Most pictures of 3GS's I see have 20's. Some have 19's. Only some of them look good imo, typically the ones that give the illussion of a bigger wheel.

If you get a good tire you won't notice a difference in ride quality. I've had 18's, 19's and this is my first set of 20's. Typically i'd be on a 40 profile 225/245. Ride is real smooth now.

Thanks and I am planning on bags so with 20's and wide it will hit the bag. On 19's I plan on going maybe 4.5" lip and flush it out. You think it will look clean 3rd Gen GS? Thanks in advance

aigh...you guys are going to feel the real headache. I have 20x9.5 +40 with 245/35 and 20x10.5 +20 with 265/30 tires, and i still have light headache how to clear the rear, i'm still off about 7mm after shaved and pulled in the rear.

You could always run a 245/30 and 255/30, I bet that would fix some of the issues. A taller profile, even with a stretch will not be as good as a lower profile/shorter sidewall. You gotta remember, with those tires your still running over spec even with the stretch.

I have 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear and so far I've had no rubbing issues
this set up does bring out the wheel very close to the edge.

Camber kit will help if he dials in more negative camber, but it can easily be fixed with thinner tyres and smaller side wall,

silvergs35 -

19x9 19x10 +9 and -8 will not work,

These offset are way too low for 3GS...

19x9 +9 may work depending on the disk.

most likely that is a low disk (since the rear offset is already in the negative offsets), so they will not clear your front brakes, so they will not fit.

and a 19x10 -8 is just not going to happen without wide body rear, seriously, you are dreaming.

you are better off buying a set of wheels with what I like to call fake lip, its where the spokes/face of the wheels curve in to make the lip bigger but still keeps high offsets, most fake/no name wheels have this, if all your after is big lip by the sounds of it..

You have to remember its not about the size of lip you have, its all about fitment, and the end result.

You could have a 2.5 inch lip and your car will look better than someone with a 4.5inch lip, its all about the execution!

And 20inch wheels looks better, as its the perfect size for this car, not too small and not too large, both will ride the same in comfort, as either way you are going to have to run super super dooper stretched tyres to fit the wheels under your guards as you will probably buy a set that wont fit.
