New to Lexus and here.
I have to say the ride is great. I do find that on the hwy, I seem to have to have to compensate with steering movements more than I did on my Jetta yet the alignment feels fine. The car seems very susceptible to wind from passing vehicles and trucks. Anyone else ever notice this?
Welcome to the Lexus community. Lexi are great cars and I am sure you will be hooked the GS in particular is built with immense attention to detail and that will strike you over the first month.
Regaring the wind turbelence - I haven't noticed my car impacted by wid or turbulence much. Much less in fact than my old BMW3. However I do notice on Parts of I95 the tires are impacted by the grooves in the road and it feels like wind. This also depends on what type of tires you have, but my very sticky y rated tires make it worse.

Hello everyone,
My name is Lee. My wife and I just purchased two CPO Lexus cars this past weekend. I got a 2006 Glacier Frost Mica GS300 and she got a 2007 Smoky Granite Mica ES350. Both have black leather interior and have various options. Here is a quick camera picture of my GS300 and her ES350 . They did a great job with the reconditioning. These cars look new and are a joy to drive.

Go through the TSB list and get the service records for both cars: make sure that all the warranty and known issues have been taken car of while you still have some warranties on them (you have multiple ones).
I drive the 2006 GS430, and I've driven the ES350s as well when driving the service loaners. I like both. The GS3s have decent power, and I like the new fastback styling. They're not as aggressive looking as I'd like, but the look grows on me. They're "beautifully understated" to me if that makes any sense. The ES350 has a decent power ratio as well and very comfortable and roomy backseats.
I love these cars for practicality and comfort.
They're as generally reliable and easy to maintain as all Toyotas are (generally).
I also love and appreciate this message board:
Using searches and asking other members, you'll find how-to-do easy fixes and good opinions and feedback on upgrades.
Welcome to CL! I don't feel much of the wind effect on the freeway, maybe b/c I always have my g430 in sport and pwr mode. It feels very stable. Lexus does have a soft suspension for smooth ride so that explains why you're experiencing the wind effect on the freeway.
Took the car into Lexus today and explained that over about 55 MPH and especially at higher speeds, the car needs constant steering corrections and almost feels that as soon as I compensate in one direction, it almost seems like to much and then I must adjust some the other way. Also told them that the car handling also seems very compromised based on road conditions such as one bump or dip forcing me to start making corrections again. My Jetta was easier to drive. I don't dare drive this Lexus one handed. I said no way should this 46 thousand dollar car be handling in such a dangerous way. This is supposed to be a sport sedan competing with the 5 series BMW.
Mechanic went for a ride with me. He said he would check the alignment and also would look at the settings for the electromechanical steering. He informed me that there was a campaign and the steering racks were replaced. I don't know if that was on all 06 GS300 models or just part of the CPO program. He had heard of this steering issue before.
He told me he cleared the rack/PS settings and reset everything, alignment was spot on. He feels this will take care of the problem. After this repair, on lower speed roadways, the car felt better. I only got up to about 60 mph for 20 seconds on a very flat well paved road. I will get it onto the hwy within the next day or so and update you. I sure hope this helps. By the way, they said they use Falken tires all the time with no problems.
