Default 3GS paddle-shift steering wheel

I think this came out last year in Japan... It looks really good in quality.

This modification has been done on Chrysler's 300 and Dodge Charger, etc. In Japan it just went a step further; they use the same AMG peddle-shift and integrated it with Lexus or many other vehicles... do a Google search

Interesting. That definitely is not an OEM piece. Lexus paddle shifts have "-" & "+" designations for their paddle shift units.

The older E-Shift units had "UP" button in the rear and & "DOWN" buttons in the front as they were in the 1IS and 2GS.

Now the real question is...does it work?

I like it but as far as I can tell it is a DIY. A lot of BMW E46 owners were doing this too. It's a lot of work for a layman.

Can anyone show me an example of someone selling a ready made plug and play paddle wheel? I would buy if I could buy a ready made shifter wheel and take it to dealer and have them install it with 1-2 hours labor.

and to me, unless there is rev matching, otherwise i think it's pretty painful when you down shift hard and it chokes like hell
