problem solved, metal hanger worked like charm
what had initially happened was that the 194 bulbs i used to replace the stock ones didn't hold tight once i put them in, thus they fell out when i was trying to put the stick back in the housing..this time around, i used some duck tape to make sure they stay on
overall, i'm satisfied with the outcome. of course, my new 194's don't match the stock HID's perfectly (little hint of blue compared to the pure white HID) but at least i got rid of that nasty amber color! lol next up are the fogs-hyper yellow!

I installed the Putco 360 parking light LEDs this afternoon. At least in my case, I didn't have to remove the bolts on the air box to get the new bulb in - but I have long fingers.
Initial impressions are good, looks WAY better than the stock yellowish filament bulbs. Much, MUCH brighter and whiter. They *are* pretty blue, though, so they don't really match the very white D4S philips bulbs that are in there but I don't think the contrast bothers me and it's certainly much better than before. Also, from what I could tell, in person there is no disco ball effect that I could notice. =)
I am still waiting for my 3000K kit from XenonDepot to arrive for the fog lights, it was backordered and supposed to ship out last week but it still hasn't. At this point I'm hoping it at least arrives for the weekend so I can get it done then. At the moment, without the dirty yellowish parking light bulbs to even out the dirty yellowish foglight bulbs, those fog lights are really sticking out like a sore lowtech thumb.
I'll wait to post pictures when I have both done.

I ordered the Putco 360 LED for my parking lights today. Tonight, I turned on my parking lights to get a good look at the bulbs and it looks like the DRL is on even when my parking lights are on (both lights are illuminated in the housing.
Do I just need to have the DRLs completely disabled?

I had the dealer turn off my drl yesterday. They were very reluctant until I pointed out that this is a dealer customizable feature according to my '07 GS350 owners manual.
They agreed and did it for free since I was having them install springs and do an alignment. I now drive with my parking lights on during the day; with the putco 360's effectively serving as my drl now. Looks just the way I wanted. Thanks Kevin for all of your research.

Did my parking light to LED... 25 leds.
Here is a pic showing left is OEM and right is LED all in one shot for good comparison (when take pic separately the camera do the color adjustment, so best is take it within 1 shot). And headlight is 6000K, fog is kinda OEM.
Just the park lights.
