I take it that you also use the soft cloth wash during the winter too. I almost cringe when I see those types of washes thinking of the sand and salt that's trapped in the fibers of the cloth. I'll stick with touchless or just do it on my own.

I have never seen a laser car wash here in the Northeast, can someone explain to me what the advantage is?

My car is desperate for a wash. I don't mind the cold cause I can use hot water. But the run off water turn into ice and become a huge safety issue.

Wish these touchless is around here. Is there a search I can use?

I've been using ONR since temps dropped and it works great. GA doesn't get that cold, but it's nice to be able to wash inside the garage day or night. Minimal run off once you get the technique down. I keep a few old towels to mop up the little bit of runoff (helps keep the garage floor clean as well). I was a bit hesitant about using it to remove the salt coat from my Christmas trip to VA, but it turned out every bit as clean as my traditional Z-7 washes.

ONR - Optimum No Rinse

I primarily use them during the winter months since I refuse to wash my car outside on my driveway but most importantly what I mentioned in post #16. There's hardly any chance of receiving swirl marks or even scratches on your paint from the cloth or spinning brushes.

Any touchless car washes in the Bronx? Does the touchless car wash dry the car good, or leaves water on the car. I am assuming it uses the same rinse concept as the arm and hammer car wash system?

just looked it up and it seems like its pretty solid but is more likely to exist on the east coast and mid west because of all of the mud, snow, ice, and salt that can end on the cars surface and would scratch it if it was rubbed with anything. I dont see why that set up would not be here in AZ. MAybe I will start a chain of Laser car washes

Really!?!

If I remembered correctly, we have the "touchless car wash" or "laser car wash" in Taiwan when I was a kid (that is over 20 years ago).

Just did a quick search, there is only ONE "laser car wash" in Dallas, TX!

A lot of chevrons in norcal have these... ran the RX though one, they are pretty good

The only downside is that it never dries the car properly, there is always a little water left behind..
