I am looking to purchase an '06 GS300 from a private owner. I could only find the VIN#'s on hood, and all 4 doors.

Does anyone know where the VIN# on the fenders/trunk are located? Also, does anyone know when I can find out what date the 4 years/50K miles warranty ends?

Loved the car, but definitely weary of the VIN#'s. I even checked eBay to see if I could find a picture of a VIN# on the trunk, but didn't see any in plain sight.

I think you can punch the vin number into club lexus and it's pretty lax about showing you the warranty information etc.

they're under the weatherstripping on the fenders. IIRC, about half way down the rear wheel arch if you open the rear door. For the fronts, you have to pop the hood and they are on the sides under the weatherstripping. Hood and trunk lid each have their own plates. You dont' have to remove the weatherstripping, just roll it away and you can peek under it.

Any dealer or carfax (once you have the VIN) can tell you the in service date which is when the warranty starts.
