Default Seat Repair or replacement?

Do not know how to explain this, but I have a 2 inch tear/rip on my passenger side front seat. My wife's sister said her purse got snagged on the seat. The GS has 32k, and the car is garaged.

I have the material from the seat, it has not fully ripped off. It is in the dead center of the bottom cushion. Can I get this sewed back, or should I replace the cushion. Can you just buy the bottom piece?

I am almost certain the certain part of the seat is available from the dealer. I would just get it replaced.

They can replace the leather pieces on the seat or can replace the entire skin. I had a friend who was smoking in his car and threw the cigarette out but it ended up in the back seat. long story short he got it taken care of at the dealership for relatively little money. there is a solution
