Default annoying plastic pop rivets..

What's the trick on getting those annoying plastic pop rivets out that hold down the engine dampening covers without breaking them??? Also, is somewhere to get some new ones ? ;-> (hopefully not from a dealer). My first attempt of getting them out was not successful at all...

Thanks!

yeah, press hard on the center, it will click and stay downward, and then you can easily pull them out

there actually was a diy on these. like the others mentioned, press down on the center til it clicks then it just pops out. to install them, you have to open the end with your fingers and push the center piece back up. then just push it back into the hole when you put the cover on.

Thanks everyone... sorry I overlooked in DIY.

Any where to get replacements other than dealer?

you can get the same size at any auto parts store. they likely won't be the center pin OEM kind but they'll perform the same function and be easier to remove/reinstall later
