i figured it's not too bad, it's just the color matching part that's hard, i mean black(i believe) is an easy color to match, but what about silver & GFM & Crystal white? the ones with pearls in them? ouchhh

i agree with you on that, i'm considering having the kit fabricated to a different style, just so i can be different and also because for some reason i'm not a HUGE fan, i'll update you guys if i DO end up modifying it though =]

I buy paint from a store that mixes for you. If you don't like it they keep trying til they get it right. Just check it befor you spray.
Besides, it's really hard to get it perfect. Time and aging have to be factored in and that makes it tough. The material nderneath can affect the color as well. I'm not so **** that it would bother me unless it is grossly off match.

gotcha ice350 =]

i didn't think paint shops would do that for u, and i figured out the aging part, i always thought primer would get rid of the material affect on the color? i'm kinda new to the whole paint world, i dabbled in it for about a week and didn't bother to touch it again lol

Primer does negate the affect the surface can cause on paint when it's used. Sometimes painters don't use it when taking shortcuts.

Default carson kit

Got my carson kit today and the front and rears fit really well. But the sideskirts don't seem to fit. Does anyone have this issue. I'll be taking it to my body shop guy so I'll let him test fit it. They also forgot to ship my front grill.

those of you thinking of modifying the front lip - how would you go about that given it's urethane?

I believe to install the side skirts you need to remove the OEM side trims first.

I also received my kit 11/02/09.

ohhh, i always had the ideal that it did hahaha, i'm definitely not taking the car to a shop that doesn't use primer though, i've seen cars that haven't used them and within a few weeks, the results weren't good =\
