just passed the 60,000 mile mark...
and my service advisor said it's time for the 60,000 mile "tune up". I didn't have the time to get into an indepth conversation about everything that needs to be done...but do remember him saying that they'll rotate the tires and change the spark plugs...said it'll run me almost a grand....
Anyone had all this done yet??? If so, what all did they do and is it worth it???
thanks!

the gs300 gets new plugs at 60k....the 60k service has some stuff like...spark plugs
check everything.....change air filter, cabin filter, do a brake flush. I know engine coolant is not due till 100k, tranny is sealed, there is no timing belt. I plan to simply ask for a plug change at the dealer and will change air filters myself and do an oil change, and call it a day.

I agree... I will just have them do the spark plugs, everything else can be DIY, or thru an Indy shop...everything else is MOSTLY "check" services- i won't pay extra $$ for things i can do myself.

only suckers pay for these service packages.
a la carte is the way to go.
in our old toyota, we just did the usual oil changes, the occasional other fluid change. drove it past 125k miles.

well it might be hard to get to them u have to unscrew a lot of parts that are in the way also u need a specizl tool for the spark plugs.(i would call it more of a ratchet extender which can run about 80 $) if i was you DIY everyrhing ure self get spark pluga from sewell's n take to a independate mechanic.

I picked up a CPO with 60k. The advisor said that even though it was in the manual, it was only for emissions.. they were totally fine till 100k. I didnt change mine, and you cant feel it idle, performance is fine and it just passed..
If I were you I would just change the air and cabin filters yourself, the oil and call it a day... 25.00 for the air, 10.00 for the cabin and 45.00 for a DIY with full synth. under an hour in your garage for under 100 bucks..

A grand seems a bit steep especially when half the list of things they have on the service list are "check....". It seems like a lot of money for checks.

A grand is about right. THere are different levels of service, a bare minimum package, package plus and a premium service package.
Most fluids are fine until 100k.
Odd, you said this in another thread....
