Well, Vossens are hot right now. Since the company is in Miami it's easier for us Fl boys to get them than from Cali.

 

yeah, makes sense. i really dig their 083's.

 

Getting closer. Tires just arrived via UPS from Tirerack and wheels should be ready next week.
I said earlier I was going with Michelin Pilot Sport AS Plus but changed my mind at the last minute.
I went with Continental DWS because the reviews by tireract test drivers compared them with the Michelin but with better wet traction and slightly more quiet. Being $350 cheaper was the clincher. I will be pissed if the tirerack guys were wrong.

 

this wa boy is waiting patiently to get his 083's resent to him!!! ups effed them up coming from d2. now gotta wait even longer...it's gonna be snowing by the time i get 'em. this should be stated that i'm not hanging derrick out to dry 'cause i don't have them....it's ups's f'up!!! D's been cool since the first time we spoke....stefan has been helpful also(fam love!!!)

 

Wait time ain't that bad, just waited 5 working days to get my 083's. I'm located here in Nor Cali.

Okay.........it worked.
This is a shot of the centers after they have been cut. Next comes the finish. After that not too sure. I assume then they would be put together.
All I know is they shouls be ready next week.

 

Thats some crazy detail work on the outside of the center piece.

 

Vossen has seemed to come out of no where over the past couple of years. I have much respect for their products. I like their designs and commitment to quality and their pride in what they sell.

 

These are not Vossens.

 

I am going to say they are Strasse Forged.....
