I tried every combination I read and now the situation is worse: When I press either button, Open, Close, Up, Down - they all do the same thing. There is no STOP function. They just go on to the next instruction. Pressing DOWN will open the sunroof.

Please help. This is FRUSTRATING.

Default Fixed it!

I too was having the same issue after the battery died on my '06 300. I held the up button down until it tilted up, back down, slid opened and then closed. After doing this it works perfectly.

you dont switch buttons, you just keep holding either the open or the up button til it cycles thru.

Hello All,
I just purchased an 06 GS 300 (On July 2, 2010) with the same issue regarding the moonroof. Thanks to your suggestions, I was able to reprogram the 'one touch' operation of the moonroof.
Thanks!

Bought my 06 gs 300. And had the same issue. First the
service greater toldme nothing was wrong. Then iread about
1 touch operation and went back. Think they said it was
bad memory in the sunroof motor. Glad I had the
extended warranty because the repair was about a grand.

sorry to bring up an old post.

I went to test drive a 06 GS450h. I play with the sunroof and open by one touch but have to hold the button to close it. Is that normal? The dealer told me it is suppose to work like that but it seems kinda weird to me to operate that way.

Mine closes all the way but you have to hold it for a second, just touching it doesn't do the trick.

hmm.. I should go for another test drive before purchasing the car. What if I have to hold it to close? Can the reset trick solve it?

Have a mechanic at the dealer solve this issue for you!

If you have to hold it to close, you'll grow hair on your palms and you'll go cross eyed. I don't know, try it.
