You have to remove a bunch of engine components that are in the way of most of the coil packs. I'd say it's too much of a pain to do yourself unless you have a free weekend, have a good torque wrench that you trust, and enjoy that kind of thing considering it only needs to be done very rarely.

If your car is eligible for the valve spring recall or TSB, I'd get them to change the plugs while they're doing that and it really shouldn't cost you much if anything to get them to do it during that.

it just seems weird that two different motors, 3.0 and 3.5 use the same plugs
