Default Purchasing Wheels online?

Has anyone ever purchased a set of new wheels online and delivered to your door with tires mounted and balanced already? If so, how was your experience and what online store did you purchase from? Also, how did you handle the TPMS? Thanks!

I did once and will never do it again. First of all the wheels came seperated. I got 3 one day and the 4th 2 days later. When I took them to be mounted they were so out of balanced that the guys doing the install said it must of been someones first day on the job and the balancing was totally off. To make matters worse there was 1 wheel that wasnt drilled out perfectly. I had to have the wheel fixed and all of the wheels rebalanced. Its totally not worth the risk. Any big wheel and tire shop will price match what you bring them off the internet. Play it safe. If there is a problem with the wheel, the chrome, a defect in whatever there will be a person right there that you can go complain to.

i agree buy local. but if you do buy online, you should buy them unmounted. You'll have to break them down anyways to install your TPMS sensors.

didnt want to bump an old thread but i was suprised by the responses......id have to disagree and say ive had some great experiences with purchasing wheel/tire packages online.........one online dealer in particular boxed the wheels very carefully, filled with nitrogen, balanced perfectly, ect.

just wanted to add another opinion to the mix
