What do you have to loose by asking? The worst case scenario - dealer says "no".

It is part of LPS and it is in your owner's manual, stated that we do have the option to turn off the DRL.

Are you sure? I just checked the manual and also the Lexus website. The DRL is not listed in the LPS. So, does anybody know how to de-activate DRLs?

Its not listed on the LPS because Lexus dont want you to deactivate the DRL, its a safety feature and they dont want to get sue for it.

but they can be deactivated if the owner lives in a state where drl is not required by law. i've seen old posts about this...

This is correct. I got mine de-activated by the dealer as I think it's useless. They told me they can't de-activate the seatbelt chime though as some mentioned on here that it could. I tried the sticky, but it didn't work. I think the instructions don't work for the '08. Anyone know about that?

I try the seat belt buzzer disable procedure on the sticky on my 08 and it work, you have to hold the button for something 45 seconds.

if you play with the bulbs they will probably hold it against you. I thought that bulbs and lamps were considered wear and tear like brakes and tires. I am wondering if you might be on your own on this one. Be nice to your service rep when you take it in

Perhaps the bulbs themselves are...but melting of the area surroundings of the bulb is definitely a design flaw which they should cover and give complementary replacement bulbs at the very least.

i could understand that if his bulb burnt out but it melted the housing also. a stock bulb would not get that hot to melt the housing.
