it really depends. i've been using zaino for last 5 years, so i'm pretty used to it. it took me 6 hours to finish non-stop, took my time and picked out every particles with clay.. it could've been longer if i used the zfx accelerator for mutiple coats.

dawn is only used to strip the old wax.. i don't think its recommended to make a habit of washing with dawn.

Im all about the clay bar ...I use a real clay bar and it makes the cars paint smooth as all hell. Throw on a couple layers of wax and even the wind wont stick to her wooooooo.

yeah, I had also been skipping that step. my car is still pretty new..only 2900 miles, so I didn't see any reason to use Dawn. i have done the clay bar and zaino'd it a few times now.

last night was the first time I have used Dawn on a car. I had tire dressing splatter all over the sides that would not come off...."Dawn takes the grease away!" Needless to say, last night was a long night. Dawn wash, dry, clay bar, zaino Z2, let dry and buff, zaino grand finale...took about 5 hours.
