Yellow fogs or HID 6000K???
Hey guys, I have been torn between this and wanted some input or ideas. I was thinking of doing the yellow fogs in my 08GS350 that made the 2nd gen GS's look so hot. Is this just a simple as buying a yellow bulb? Or I was thinking about buying a plug and play kit for the fogs and getting a 6000K bulb, to match my 6000K HIds on top. What do u think. Then someone told me you can buy a yellow slip that goes over the HID fog to make them yellow and I can switch off between yellow and the blue look. What do you think? Do you think the yellow look would look as good on a 3rd gen as it did on the second gen and if so, would you go with just yellow lights or the Yellow HID lights in the fogs? Thanks in advance.

My GS is Blck/Blck with 5% black tint and 20 inch Chrome 5 spoke Katana Rims. I tried to load a pic of it a few months ago, but it kept saying the pic was to big.

I was going to do HID 3000k for the fogs but I wanted to see how the yellow fogs would look first so I bought some yellow bulbs. I am pretty satisfied with it. I love the 2nd gen look.
Eventually I'll get around in getting the 3000k HID kit.
You can't go wrong with either option as long as you replace those ugly amber fogs.

What kind of yellow lights did you get? I want to look around online and maybe by local rim shop. Maybe I'll try that first and then go for the HID fogs depending on my reaction.

What I will be doing for my car is to replace the 9006 fogs to 9012 HIRs (because I already have them that I took out from another car) then put on yellow lamin-x on the fog lenses. If I decide I don't like it, I can always peel off the yellow lamin-x. The 9012 HIRs that I have already have the tabs trimmed off to fit 9006 bases. It puts out 1,870 lumens which is close to double the standard 9006's 1,000 lumens. Without the yellow lamin-x, the HIRs put out light that is a bit more white than standard halogens but still ain't as white as even a 4500k-5000k HID. In other words, still a bit amberish.
