Nice car! What tint percentage is that? I'm thinking about tinting the windows on ours.

I'm not sure about the percentage as we go by light, medium, dark. But I know that what we define as dark is 30%. So, I would assume that medium is 20% and light is 10%.

On my GS, the front is fully tinted but 0% (or clear) so it blocks off heat and UV but won't give the cops a reason to pull me over. The front windows are medium (20%). The rear windows & rear windshield uses dark tint (30%).

thanks here in Wisconsin it's illegal to tint the windshield at all so I know I'd get in trouble if I put anything on there. I got pulled over with a previous car and they actually put the gauge on it. The 35% tinting I got actually was only letting 22% though so I got a warning. I knew the guy so they didn't care but it's still annoying getting pulled over just for your windows.

New to GS forum

Hi everyone,

I just bought a 2006 GS430. Fully loaded with the exception of radar detector and pre-collision. It has only 19200 miles on it. White ivory with 5-spoke chrome wheels. Love the car. I also have a 99 gs400. Great car but 06 gs430 is so much better.
I have a few questions. How do I start a new post without having to reply like I'm doing right now? Thanks TIA everyone. I will post my car pics as soon as I finish detail the car.
