2006 GS300 bluetooth and nav questions
Hi all,
I am new to the forum, just got a 2006 GS300. Don't seem to have the manual for the NAV system. Couple of maybe dumb questions.
First, how do i set up the bluetooth to work with our cell phones? Wife has a Samsung Sprint phone and I have an ATT Blackberry. Most interested in just setting up my wife's so she can use the BT.
Also, we live in a mostly rural area of east Texas. The nav system shows topo features like the lake we live on, but no detail of roads etc. What's up with that?
Thanks in advance. I'm really glad I found this forum..

BT set up:
on your car go to the info button and you will have the phone icon to choose. this will allow you to set up your phone. its a few easy steps to follow. you can have both phones paired to the car, of course only one will work if both are in the car together.
on your phone make sure the BT is turned on if its not already. From your phone you will search BT Devices and follow the steps. It will ask for a password so make it easy to recall for future reference.
If you dont get it to work post back and I can take some pics from my car and the different screens to help you through the steps. I also think there may be a link on the Lexus site for the "how to" set up the BT phone, including the specific phone(s) you may have!
Congrads on the new car Mike and welcome to CL

you can go to www.lexus.com
click on owners and register as the new owner of that car. (has nothing to do with DMV or anything like that). Once registered you can view, print and/ordownload all three manuals in PDF form or you can request a free copie of each manual to be sent to you.

for the nav, either in the manual you download or from poking around, zoom in (+). there is a way to zoom in and out ala mapquest. depending on what setting it's on, it may be showing major roads but not everything local. or, depending on just how rural of an area you live in and how old the map dvd is, your local roads may not be on the map.
