Hi folks

I will be doing an oil change today on my GS350 2008
I wanted ot know if there ia way to reset the change oil light on these cars, and also what oil filter it takes.
I tried to search but came to no avail

i get an oil change reminder, both from the navigation screen and the dashboard.. i can reset it from the maintenance menu.. is there oil change 'light' we need to reset?

 

Yes, there is a OIL MAINT REQ'D warning that will display in your center information display. Once you hit the 5k mark, the red exclamation will stay lit until it's reset. Prior to the 5k mark, a warning message will pop up to remind you that your oil maintenance is coming up.

To reset this, it is located in p.381 Section 4-3 of the DIY Maintenance section of your owners manual.

Your owners manual is a wealth of knowledge. You should really get to know it as it will answer a lot of simple questions with the operation and maintenance of your GS.
