Starfire Pearl Picture request......
It really depends on the conditions you're in no matter if you're garaged or what. My Venture Shield started to turn a little yellow from when it was brand new and my GS sits in the garage majority of the week. The film yellowing is most prominent on any white car. 3M yellows the worst of all the films. Venture does it too but not as bad as 3M.
So waxxxxxxing doesnt do anything? Im glad my dealer said its lifetime warranty for peeling and yellowing, and i have it in writing. Ill just keep getting it done over and over again if it yellows.
waxing is supposed to help prevent the top layer from oxidizing.
same idea with waxing the headlamps. if you leave the car outside, they will yellow after a few years.
we don't know if flipside or any other people wax their clearbra.
but many other owners do...
any clear plastic must be waxed.
but hell, if i were in your shoes, I'd just milk the warranty.
keep going back and getting it redone every few months until you get tired of it.

just go buy Plexus plastic cleaner/protectant
that's what Aerotect gives us after installation, he said as long as we keep up with the cleaning and protecting, it should last a long time
so far so good in the 120F sunny AZ.

I use the same Plexus you guys do as Francisco gave me a bottle to maintain the clearbra with. I've tried other methods on my previous cars to protect and it is still the same as far as the yellowing of the film.
BTW, I actually introduced Aerotect (previously Aeroshield) onto CL about 5 years ago.
Here was my install last year on 8/27/07.

well that sucks.....
i'm still more concerned about the headlights though. I've seen some nasty yellowing fogging plastic.
gotta prevent that at all costs!
My pet peeve about a clear bra is the hood piece edge on white.
I see it's possible to get the whole hood done.
Anybody get that done or know of someone who did?
BTW,for waht it's worth,I just talked to a installer about an Ventureshield install and he mentioned that 3M has bought Ventureshield.

here is my similar shots at Aero
Any disadvantages with doing the whole hood?
Like does it scratch easier when drying.I do use a electric leaf blower to get the water beads off and follow with 100% USA cotton towels.
Engine heat?
i really don't mind my clear bra getting scratched, it is there to take the scratch afterall, it's better than scratched paint
and you will be fine with your cleaning methods, just have to make sure the waxes don't get to the edges of the clearbra
i would totally go with the whole hood, no edges shown as well since the folds are underneath, it's totally not noticeable until few cm distance away
no problem with heat, AZ is around 115-120 now, no problem there
only downside? pretty costly.. around 400 just for the hood alone

I'm waiting for a call back on the cost of doing the whole hood, front bumpercover, headlights, side fender pieces, mirrors.
The guy does the gas door and just under for no cost if desired.
