Default Lexus GS460 Aftermarket Performance Options?

What can be done to a GS460 without voiding the warranty? Intake? Exhaust? There's probably a lot of performance to be had from everything done to keep the car quiet..

What else? And what type of increase in performance might these things achieve?

Thank you in advance...

technically you can't just say putting intake and exhaust and you won't void warranty. if you put in an intake and your engine got hydrolock, i don't think lexus dealership is going to be happy about it

personally i say don't expect night and day difference from intake or exhaust. on this car, i would get the mods for sound if anything, not performance.

real performance stuff would be like chip, tq converter, rear end ratio, FI, stuff like that. i have yet to see anything serious for the 3gs here in the US, let alone the gs460 with 8 speed

FI?

As for a chip - what do you think it could do? And that wouldn't effect the warranty? Rear end.. So get some more oomph down low but lose a little up top - right? That's fine because how fast does the G460 go? Probably far faster than I'll ever go... Torque converter - for better off-the-line performance as well - correct?

There is a Tom's hypercompressor for about $15k i believe but only yields something like 52 hp. And yes a torque convertor would be a good solution but there are no real serious performance mods possible for the GS without messingw ith the ecu. and i heard its VERY difficult.

FI = forced induction, meaning turbo or supercharge

i had both rear end and tq converter on my previous gs400. it was no joke. with those mods the car was so much faster. lose some top ends, but who cares, i don't go above 130 anyway

like i said, a lot of mods will void part of the warranty, that's inevitable. and i really won't expect any wows on hp from intake or exhaust
