Default A/C Problems!!

Hi Guys,
I have a 06 GS430 and I am not happy with the A/C. It is ok untill it gets really hot (over 90) then it just doesn't get cold. Dealer has checked it out 2 times and says its ok, but I disagree. Even the loaner car I had was nice and cold. Anyone have advice or similar problems with the A/C? Thanks for the help.

You better get second opinion at different Lexus service center.

Yeah, you should get another opinion. It was 98 in Michigan the past few days with humidity and the car was cold and chilly. A/C in Lexus cars are the best.

Agree with what others have said - get a second opinion. Last week here in NC, the temps got over 100 degrees 4 days in a row, mid to high 90's the rest of the days. Having the A/C set on auto for a temp of 75, my GS cooled down quickly and effortlessly. I am cool as a cucumber.

edit: I also have Huber Optik tint on my windows which helps a lot in keeping out radiant heat

I think it works just as well as my IS. 2nd opinion should be in store. Are you comparing it to another car you have? You should look at getting some tint done as this would help

Unhappy Having the same problem

I am having the exact problem. A/c works fine in the morning but will not cool well when it warms up. Took it in for service and they replaced my condenser at a cost of $1225 bucks and I still can't tell a difference. Needless to say I'll be back Monday morning. It just doesn't want to cool when it is hot outside. The loaner ES put my GS to shame.
